Attention Heartstopper fans! Netflix has released the first scene from the show’s second season. On 17 June, the popular streamer hosted its global Tudum event – which features new previews from some of the platform’s biggest TV shows and movies.
During the entertainment extravaganza, Netflix shared the opening scene from Heartstopper’s second season with the help of Corinna Brown and Kizzy Edgell – who play Tara Jones and Darcy Olsson, respectively. “We can’t wait for you to see season two, and just for you lucky lot at Tudum and for those streaming at home, we’ve got an exclusive look at the opening of episode one,” the two exclaimed.
Following Brown and Edgell’s enthusiastic introduction, the video switches over to Charlie Spring, played by Joe Locke, waking up for the day with an absolutely adorable text message from his newly minted boyfriend, Nick Nelson – played by Kit Connor. “Does being boyfriends mean we do good morning texts now,” Charlie responds, which results in a witty message from Nick over what constitutes a “good morning” message.
As the sneak peek progresses, Charlie continues to smile at his phone while he does his morning routine and rides the bus alongside his sister Tory (Jenny Welser) – who rolls her eyes at their flirtatious conversation.
