Ahead of the season two finale, AMC has renewed Interview with the Vampire for a third season. Based on Anne Rice’s critically acclaimed Vampire Chronicles series, the gothic horror respectively stars Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid as Louis de Pointe du Lac and Lestat de Lioncourt.
Created by Rolin Jones, season one begins with Louis retelling his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), including his violent romance with Lestat and their father-daughter relationship with newbie vampire Claudia (Bailey Bass/Delainey Hayles).
Following a one-year hiatus, Interview with the Vampire returned for a second season in May, following Louis and Claudia as they travel to Europe in search for more vampires, while the former is haunted by the ghost of Lestat.
Both seasons have received unanimous critical acclaim, holding a 98% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with praise aimed at the performances of Anderson and Reid.
