A D.C.-based law firm has dropped a lawsuit that sought to force the Virginia Beach School District to implement the state’s new guidelines for transgender and nonbinary students.
Cooper and Kirk in August filed the lawsuit against the school district on behalf of two parents. The Virginia Department of Education earlier this year announced the new guidelines for which Republican Gov.
Glenn Youngkin asked. The Virginia Beach School Board last week in a 9-1 vote adopted them. The post Lawsuit against Virginia Beach schools dropped appeared first on Washington Blade: LGBTQ News, Politics, LGBTQ Rights, Gay News.
