Noah’s Arc fans rejoice! Patrik-Ian Polk has confirmed the return of the groundbreaking series. Back in the mid-2000s, the beloved Logo dramedy broke major ground for LGBTQ+ representation in media.
Set in Los Angeles, the show followed screenwriter Noah (Darryl Stephens) as he and his group of friends – Alex (Rodney Chester), Chance (Doug Spearman) and Ricky (Christian Vincent) – navigated the gay dating scene in Los Angeles.
At the time, Noah’s Arc made history as the first American drama with a cast of all-Black and gay characters. In addition to making television history, the series was lauded for shining a light on an array of LGBTQ+ topics – including same-sex marriage, same-sex families, HIV/AIDS awareness, and homophobia.
Despite the show becoming an instant hit with viewers, it was cancelled in 2007 after ending its second season on a massive cliffhanger.
