DJ and producer Rebecca Vasmant and Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK star Kate Butch have been announced as the headliners for Stirling’s first -ever Pride event which will takes place this month.The headliner announcements came as Stirling Pride announced a programme of over 50 events, activities, workshops, food and drink promotions and entertainment that will run from September 14-22 with the main event taking place on King Street in Stirling city centre on September 21.Rebecca Vasmant and Kate Butch will headline a line-up of 19 performers across two stages in the city centre.Acts including Eyve, Megan Black, Emma Lynne Harley and Beat That will be performing on the event’s King Street Stage whilst acts such as Joe Goodall and Stirling Youth Folk Club will take to the Fubar Stage inside Fubar Nightclub on Maxwell Place.
Both stages will have entertainment running between 11am and 5pm.Fubar will also play host to the Fubar Pride Market with 16 local and national organisations and charities with stalls giving advice and information about their services to the local LGBTQ+ community.Stall holders will include Unison Forth Valley NHS Branch, Central Sexual Health, LGBT Youth Scotland the Equality Network.A quiet space will be available, run by Neil Hugs Foundation in the Holy Trinity Church Hall from 1-4pm, the Pride Pit Stop – Youth Space run by LGBT Youth Scotland and Creative Stirling will be held in Creative Stirling and the Smith Art Gallery will have film Gareth, Where’s Your Handbag on loop throughout the day.
