Alice Oseman, creator of Heartstopper, has revealed details about the show’s third season, just days after the release of the second.
Heartstopper’s highly anticipated second season released to critical and audience acclaim last week. However, Alice has already teased details about what fans can expect from the third season, in a new interview with Metro. “In season two we’ve started to explore mental health in a big way,” the writer explained. “I think it’s pretty obvious from the way we leave the season that is going to be a big element of season three. “We’re going to continue to look at that in a big way and explore how that affects Nick and Charlie’s relationship, and all of the other friendships in the show.” READ MORE: Here’s how Heartstopper season 2 breaks new ground for TV Addressing fans of the graphic novel series, Alice reassured fans that content from the most recent volume will make it into the next season. “People who have read the books will know that there’s a lot of stuff we haven’t yet covered in volume four,” they stated. “People who’ve read volume four will have a little bit of an idea of what is coming.” Heartstopper began to touch on the issues of mental health and family, that garnered the graphic novels high critical praise, in its second season.
