Drag Race UK star Miss Naomi Carter reflects on viral video
Miss Naomi Carter has taken us behind the scenes of her hilarious viral video. In 2021, the Doncaster queen shared a video on TikTok in which she can be seeing racing a heterosexual pedestrian in full drag, before the aforementioned man “stacks it” and Naomi loses a heel.
The clip attracted over half a million views on the platform and was hailed as “iconic” for “dismantling the patriarchy”. In Naomi’s recent digital cover interview with GAY TIMES, the star revealed that she originally asked another man called Chase to “give us a race”, but his fragile male ego wouldn’t allow him to be defeated in public by a drag queen.
Naomi remembered: “He was like, ‘All my friends are here and if I lose I’ll be so embarrassed.’ Then, this other straight guy walks out and says, ‘I’ll race you.’ I’m like, ‘Baby, you don’t know who I am.
