Layton Williams, 29, is currently partnered with Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin and the pair have been lighting up with the dance floor.

In their most recent performance for Movie Week, Layton wowed in a pink skirt for his Grease themed Viennese Waltz. However, he thinks after several seasons including same-sex couples, next year bosses could welcome a trans contestant.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Layton said it would be "beautiful" to see a trans contestant on the show. "I think producers are open to all beautiful people from all walks and that would be superb," he added.

Meanwhile, his partner Nikita said they will be pushing more boundaries as the weeks go on. "The most important thing is that Layton is happy," the pro said, as Layton added: "And we felt the love from the community." Being part of a same-sex relationship was also something Nikita wanted after seeing John Whaite and Johannes Radebe together.
