Kylie Minogue fans have been going feral after the release of her new single ‘Padam Padam’ and its accompanying music video.

The track, which was produced by Lostboy, is a gay anthem in the making and will undoubtedly be one of this year’s biggest summer bangers in nightclubs all over the world.

It serves as the lead single from Kylie’s highly anticipated 16th studio album, ‘Tension’, which is set to be released in September. “I started this album with an open mind and a blank page,” she said of the project. “Unlike my last two albums there wasn’t a ‘theme’, it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song.

I wanted to celebrate each song’s individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it’s a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high.” READ MORE: Kylie Minogue announces 16th album Tension ‘Padam Padam’ sees Kylie sing about her heart racing after meeting someone and knowing that there is chemistry between the two of them. “Padam, padam / I hear it and I know / Padam, padam / I know you wanna take me home / Padam / And get to know me close,” she says on the track.
