“The worst thing to ever happen”: Ziwe fans react to show’s cancellation
Late night talk show Ziwe, which was hosted by comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, has been cancelled by Showtime after just two seasons.
Ziwe tackled many topics at the forefront of society in the US through a satirical lens, including race, culture and politics.
Guests have included the likes of Drew Barrymore, Nicole Byer and Bob the Drag Queen, among many others. Since it premiered in May 2021, Ziwe has developed a loyal fan base who are enraged by news of the show’s cancellation. “Just woke up and it looks like Ziwe being cancelled wasn’t a nightmare… I hate it here,” one viewer wrote on Twitter.
