TV star Wayne Brady has shared an update on his love life after coming out. Back in August, the Let’s Make a Deal host revealed that he identifies as pansexual – which is defined as being attracted to an individual regardless of their gender. “In doing my research, both with myself and just with the world, I couldn’t say if I was bisexual, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to act on anything,” he explained to PEOPLE. “So I came to pansexual because — and I know that I’m completely messing up the dictionary meaning — but to me, pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. “I took pan to mean that not only can I be attracted to any of these people or types physically, but I could be attracted to the person that is there.” Since coming out, Brady has been an open book regarding his sexuality journey and, most recently, his dating life.
While speaking with ET, the American Soul actor revealed that coming out has helped him feel more confident about starting a new relationship. “It would be hard for me to truly put myself 100 percent into a relationship when there’s this nagging doubt that I have not explored that piece of me, or even given voice to having that option,” he explained. “It doesn’t mean that it’s ever going to manifest itself in a relationship with a man, or a relationship with this person.
