Mancunians say Chanel's huge glitzy fashion show - which saw international spotlight thrown onto the city - has stoked their sense of civic pride.
The iconic brand and one of the world's biggest fashion houses brought its annual Metiers d'Artshow, which has previously been held in Paris, New York and Rome, to the city last night.
A huge canopy was erected on Thomas Street in the Northern Quarter for the outdoor catwalk show. A 600-strong guest list included A-list celebrities including Kristen Stewart, Hugh Grant, Alexa Chung and Tilda Swinton.
Hotels across the city were booked up with a huge after-party being held at the historic Victoria Baths.
