“Let the girls eat”: Drag Race’s Plane Jane echoes fans’ thoughts about Untucked
Plane Jane has addressed the elephant in the room regarding celebrity guest judges and Untucked. On this week’s episode of Drag Race season 16, the eight remaining queens – Dawn, Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige, Morphine Love Dion, Nymphia Wind, Jane, Q, Sapphira Cristál, and Plasma – were tasked with another design challenge.
However, instead creating lewks for a grand ball or a sickening doll, the contestants were asked to design and put together a “neo-goth” look from scratch. “Think Morticia meets Mugler.
Beetlejuice meets Balenciaga. Or Elvira meets Saint Laurent,” RuPaul added. Like the previous design challenges, not every queen was excited to hit the sketchbooks and sewing machines, like Mhi’ya and Plasma, who struggled during the creative process. “This is crazy!
