Riverdale could have given us more than we bargained for, but the showrunner has revealed that an Archie and Jughead canoodle was not meant to be.
After 137 episodes spanning across seven seasons, the mystery drama based on the Archie comic book reached its conclusion earlier this year.
Fans were transported with a 67 year time jump to reveal a four-way polymarist relationship between the show’s four main leads.
In true Riverdale style, the final episode was an emotional rollercoaster and everyone ends up dying (of course). The audience learns of the four-way relationship through an 86 year-old Betty (Michelle Scarabelli) who is reminded of her quad relationship with Archie (KJ Apa), Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) for the entirety of Senior Year.
