Ted Cruz busted for spending thousands of dollars of campaign donations on… spa treatments & makeup???
HuffPost trawled through his campaign’s Federal Election Commission filing from 2016 until October 2024. It identified around $9,000 to various spas and salons since that time.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the spa treatments were for Cruz himself. They may have been for his wife, Heidi Cruz, who has acted as a surrogate for him on some campaign appearances.

The date falls between two weeks of campaigning that Cruz undertook in Texas. Earlier in the year, $310 and $876 went to a Houston-based makeup artist.
