Troye Sivan has shared the video for his new single ‘Got Me Started’. The follow-up to his acclaimed comeback banger ‘Rush’, the track is another pulsating, club-ready anthem.
The choreo-heavy video, which was created by the same team behind his viral ‘Rush’ visual, sees Sivan dance on the streets of Bangkok, Thailand, with a squad of dancers. ‘Got Me Started’ was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick and samples the 2008 song ‘Shooting Stars’ by Australian duo Bag Raiders.
It features songwriting credits from Sivan’s longtime collaborator Leland, as well as Tayla Parx and Kaelyn Behr. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Sivan opened up about the creative process behind ‘Got Me Started’ and how the sample came to fruition. “It was one of the first songs that we wrote for the album and it just stuck around.
They [Bag Raiders] were like, “By the way, we’ve had hundreds of requests and we’ve never said, ‘Yeah, so don’t f*** this up.'”And I was like, “I promise you, I’m going to make a video.
