Warrior Nun fans, unite! The show has officially been saved. Following its controversial cancellation last year, director and showrunner Simon Barry has confirmed that the Netflix series will make an “epic” return.

Barry said in a tweet: “Today, I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more EPIC than you could imagine.” He added that “more details” will come “soon” and thanked fans for their various attempts and campaigns to save the series.

Fans were, understandably, elated with Barry’s announcement. One wrote: “Simon, THANK YOU. The best positive news ever in my life.

Thank you for your support this whole time.” Another tweeted: “This has to be one the best feelings in the world knowing that we accomplished something like this.
