Drag Race legend Detox publicly came out as trans in the most epic way. The beloved talent revealed the exciting news on 21 August while she and fellow Drag Race alum Willam performed their track ‘Chow Down (at Chick-fil-A) at the DNC (Drag Night Chicago).

In a TikTok documenting the event, Detox is heard switching the lyric “I’m a top” to ‘I’m trans now,” which resulted in applause from the audience members.

While the Drag Race season five star refrained from sharing further details about her journey, she did leave a comment on the aforementioned video: “Cat’s outta the bag!” It didn’t take long for fans to flock to social media to shower Detox with supportive comments.

One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “Detox has officially come out as trans! I love this so much, congratulations to her, that’s so amazing!” Another fan in the video’s comment section echoed similar sentiments, writing: “I feel like TikTok can read my mind at this point.
