Kit Connor has been cast in a lead role for the upcoming A24 film Warfare. According to Deadline, information regarding the Heartstopper star’s character and the film’s plot are being kept under wraps.

While details of Warfare are shrouded in secrecy, the news outlet revealed that director Alex Garland and Navy Seals veteran Ray Mendoza co-wrote the script.

The duo are also set to co-direct the mysterious new film. Garland and Mendoza previously collaborated on the upcoming dystopian action-drama Civil War, with the latter serving as the movie’s military supervisor.

Lastly, Connor will be joined by other emerging acting talents, including Charles Melton (May December), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs), Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun), and Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country).
