The first trailer for Heartstopper season three has finally landed, and honestly, we’re in absolute bits. Premiering 3 October on Netflix, the season will follow Charlie (Joe Locke) as he tries to “tell Nick that he loves him,” while Nick (Kit Connor) “also has something important to say to Charlie”. “As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges,” reads the official synopsis. “As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.” In the powerful first trailer, Nick and Tori (Jenny Walser) navigate how to be the perfect boyfriend and sister to Charlie as he continues to come to terms with his mental health struggles, while Elle (Yasmin Finney) confides in Tao (William Gao) about her gender dysphoria.

Season three will also see the return of Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Tobie Donovan as Isaac, Rhea Norwood as Imogen, Cormac Hyde-Corrin as Harry, Fisayo Akinade as Nathan, Chetna Pandya as Coach Singh, Bradley Riches as James and Bel Priestly as Naomi.

New cast members include Hayley Atwell as Aunt Diane, Eddie Marian as Geoff, Jensen Clayden as Oliver Spring and Darragh Hand as Michael Holden.
