Earlier this week, Barrett voted with Chief Justice John Roberts and the liberal minority–Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson–to reject Tr*mp’s request to delay his sentencing for 34 felonies.
The president-elect, who’s still free to repeal his conviction on charges of falsifying business docs to cover up hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, was sentenced Friday to an “unconditional discharge.”That means the conviction will stay on his record, though he won’t face punishment.
In other words, it’s a purely symbolic penalty. But the MAGA masses can’t tolerate any semblance of independence from the corrupt 78-year-old’s judicial appointees.
