Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

Hay now! (Image via Playgirl) Remember the Hager Twins of Hee-Haw fame? Did you know they were Playgirl's second-ever celeb nudes? (They were nude, the photo demurely covered their privates.) Even before the iconic mag's official premier issue, they shucked their skivvies for a rather racy pose in the second test issue in 1973 — an incredible 50 years ago.

I researched and wrote an exhaustive oral history of Playgirl, but I never really found a satisfying explanation for why two test issues with zero mention of founding editor Douglas Lambert existed.

It's as if Lambert started with issue 3, called it issue 1 and everyone just went with it. Don't look to Minx for hints — that series is all about mythologizing the already very interesting history of Playgirl, without calling it Playgirl.
