The streets of Wigan will be a lot more colourful this weekend as Wigan Pride returns with a jam-packed day of festivities and fun.
Taking over Wigan town centre on Saturday (August 12), the event promotes and celebrates equality and diversity by bringing together arts, music, street parade and positive messages together for the day.
First held in 2015, the event now attracts thousands of people and will feature a plethora of fun acts, including drag queens, singers and dancers. It will then travel via Hewlett Street, Standishgate and Mesnes Street before reaching Mesnes Park. The parade will then making its way back to Believe Square, at around 11.50am.
