The Gay and Lesbian Fund For Dallas is planning a benefit for the Dallas Zoo called “Flutter & Fizz,” and the group is holding a meeting Wednesday, Jan.
22, for folks interested in volunteering at the event. “Flutter & Fizz” will be GLFD’s “most ambitious initiative” in its 20-plus-year history, according to a press release.
It will be a champagne brunch in the zoo’s new butterfly garden, and GLFD needs “your passion and energy to help us change hearts and minds — one butterfly, one glass of bubbly, one incredible conversation at a time.” The volunteer meeting will be held at indoor space at Base Camp in the zoo’s Giants of the Savannah habitat.
Those attending should be at the zoo entrance, 650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, by 5:30 to catch the tram to the meeting place. RSVP here to reserve your spot at the meeting this week.
