Married at First Sight UK continued on Tuesday as two new couples walked down the aisle to meet their partners for the first time and exchange vows, beginning their journey in the experiment to find love.Making history on the Channel 4 dating show, as the first transgender contestant, was Ella Morgan, a 29-year-old clinic consultant and influencer from Weston Super-Mare, who was matched with 36-year-old marketing manager Nathanial Valentino.Ella, who lives with her nan, has been supported by her family on her journey of finding love.
She is hopeful of it being a successful journey for her and Nathanial, who admitted he is looking for an "open-minded" partner and is pansexual himself.In heartbreaking scenes ahead of making her way down the aisle, Ella opened up during a chat to the experts about her dating history revealing men in the past would hide her gender identity from friends and family.She said: "Guys have rejected me on the whole trans issue, once I told them about me they would continue dating me but wanted to keep it a secret and I don't want to be someone's dirty little secret - It's why many trans people don't get married because they don't make it that far."I just want someone to be proud of me and equally open-minded and accept my past its all I want."Nathanial also said he was "looking for someone who radiates love and kindness" as he doesn't care about gender but what is inside. "It's been hard not having anyone else to rely on.
It's important to have stability and has wisdom - someone who has gone through stuff to connect with them, my ride and die."Later on in the show Ella's dad became overwhelmed with emotions as he saw her in her dress ahead of walking down the aisle as he gave her a necklace to wear.He said: "She looks absolutely stunning and perfect I am extremely proud, for everything we have gone through," whilst holding back tears.Ella continued: "I cant believe I'm getting married as Ella, as me, if I could tell my six-year-old self I am
