Reneé Rapp has opened up about the love song she wrote for one of her The Sex Lives of College Girls (SLOCG) co-stars. Back in August 2023, the Mean Girls talent treated music listeners to her highly anticipated debut album, Snow Angel.
Upon its release, the immersive 12-track project received rave reviews from fans and critics – with many praising the album’s queer-inclusive storytelling, Rapp’s stunning vocals and her emotional vulnerability.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the beloved talent opened up about the creative process for Snow Angel, and what inspired some of the record’s most beloved tracks – including the whimsical ‘I Do’ from the deluxe edition.
When asked if the song is about unrequited love, the Broadway star somewhat agreed, revealing that she wrote the track about Alyah Chanelle Scott, her best friend and SLOCG co-star. “I don’t even think I ever told her that I wrote it about her.
