press conference at the march's starting point, at which all the co-grand marshals spoke: 3/4 EGOT Billy Porter, activist Hope Giselle, asexual influencer Yasmin Benoit, trans athlete advocate AC Dumlao and longtime (since 1958!) LGBTQ rights activist Randolfe Wicker.
Tireless Randy Billy spoke briefly, but inspirationally, and later repeated parts of his speech after an intro by NY Gov. Kathy Hochul, the iffy Dem who was not, in her own introductory remarks, at all iffy about LGBTQ rights.
