Sarah Ferguson, the aunt of Prince Harry, has spoken out about his relationship with wife Meghan Markle. The Duchess of York, who was formerly married to Prince Andrew, discussed Harry’s marriage to Suits actress Meghan as she reflected on her divorce from Andrew in 1996.

She told the PA news agency: "I divorced, went to America, wrote a book, went on Oprah and did 12 years as the longest-running spokesperson of Weight Watchers. "I looked to America to support me and to help me and I really can’t thank the American people enough for what they gave me and what they did for me." She went on: "So, I believe very strongly that I have absolutely no judgement on any other person’s life, and I look at how much she (Meghan) loves him (Harry) and loves the children and gives him a love that he’s never had before. "That’s how I look at it." Sarah’s comments come after she became the first royal to address Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare.

During an interview with Fox 5 New York presenter Rosanna Scotto, the Duchess discussed the importance of "family unity". Rosanna asked: "Do you think [King Charles] is upset with the book that Harry wrote?

I know that reports that Harry and Meghan are invited to the Coronation and he must, as a parent, feel a little scarred by what was said in the book." To which Fergie replied: "Personally, I feel there should be no judgement on any level. "Family unity is very important.
